Kurahautū Advisory Unit

kurahautū Advisory Quote

Korōria ki te Atua o te tika, o te aroha,
nāu i toha ngā mahi mā mātou,
i rumakina ai mātou ki te mamaetanga,
puea ake ana ki ngā hua o te aranga.
Pupū ake i a koe te mana atawhai,
kia ai tā mātou atawhai i ētahi atu,
kia mau ai te rongo ki te hunga katoa
e manawa pā ana, ki tāu nei ao.

God of justice and compassion,
you give us a work to do
and a baptism of suffering and resurrection.
From you comes power to give to others
the care we have ourselves received
so that we, and all who love your world,
may live in harmony and trust.

-He Karakia Mihinare o Aotearoa | A New Zealand Prayer Book

Te Hāhi Mihinare is expected by the public of Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia to take leadership stances on the many issues that affect our countries, our tikanga, and our communities.

Kurahautū is the Archbishops’ Wayfinder Unit, established to coordinate and disseminate the high-quality research required by and throughout the Church. The role, therefore, of Kurahautū is to facilitate access to expertise internally and externally for church entities, tikanga, pastorates, and ministry units, so that we can help the whole church become wayfinders in their own spaces.
