Language and Identity: You are Us and We are You (E-Tangata)

‘The connection that Māori people have with the peoples of the Pacific is timeless because we are bound by our culture, by our DNA, and by our language…There is one language of Te Moana-nui-ā-Kiwa and we all speak a dialect of it. My dialect, te reo Māori, is the youngest version of our Pacific language: te reo o te Moana.’
